GoalVertex is the data controller for all personal information collected through this website. The GoalVertex website is operated at goalvertex.com and is intended for use by adults aged 18 and over. GoalVertex does not require you to create an account or register in any way to use the site. Because of this, the personal data we collect is limited. When you visit GoalVertex we automatically collect certain technical information through our analytics and server systems. This includes your IP address, the browser and device type you are using, the pages you visit on our site, the time and date of your visit, the website or search engine that referred you to us, and how long you spend on each page. This information is collected automatically and is used solely to help us understand how the site is used and to improve it. If you contact us by email, we collect the name and email address you provide along with the content of your message. We do not collect any payment information because GoalVertex is entirely free to use.

We keep analytics data for a period of 26 months, after which it is automatically deleted by our analytics provider. This is the standard retention window recommended by the ICO for website analytics and gives us enough historical data to identify meaningful trends in site usage. Emails you send to us are kept for as long as they remain relevant to the purpose for which you sent them. General enquiries are typically archived after 12 months. If you ask us to delete your email correspondence, we will do so promptly unless we are required by law to retain it. Server access logs are retained for a maximum of 90 days for security and diagnostic purposes and are then deleted automatically.

Under UK GDPR you have several rights in relation to your personal data. You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, the right to have inaccurate data corrected, the right to request that we delete your data in certain circumstances, the right to object to us processing your data where we rely on legitimate interests as our legal basis, the right to restrict processing of your data in certain situations, and the right to data portability where technically feasible. To exercise any of these rights, please email us at hello@goalvertex.com with a clear description of your request. We will respond within 30 days as required by UK GDPR. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

GoalVertex takes data security seriously. The site is served entirely over HTTPS, meaning all data transmitted between your browser and our server is encrypted. We use reputable hosting providers with strong physical and network security controls, and we regularly review and update our security practices. Access to any system that handles personal data is restricted to authorised team members only. We do not store sensitive personal data such as financial information, identity documents, or passwords because we do not offer account-based services. In the unlikely event of a data breach that is likely to result in a risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify the ICO within 72 hours and affected individuals without undue delay, as required by UK GDPR.
